Frequently asked questions
-
Is layout planning the same as full interior design?
No. Layout planning focuses on the practical arrangement of your room: what fits, where it goes, and how the space flows. It does not include a full decorative scheme, product sourcing, 3D visuals, or styling direction unless we agree to add those separately.
-
What do I need to send you?
Send room measurements, photos or a short video, any furniture you want to keep, and a note on what is not working. A hand drawn sketch is fine as long as the key dimensions are clear.
-
Will the plan be to scale?
Yes. You receive a scaled 2D furniture layout so you can see what fits before buying furniture, moving heavy pieces, or asking trades for quotes.
-
Can you help with awkward rooms?
Yes. This service is useful for narrow rooms, open-plan spaces, alcoves, bay windows, fireplaces, sloped ceilings, and rooms where the obvious furniture layout does not work.
-
Can my decorator or builder use the plan?
The plan can help brief a decorator, joiner, electrician, or builder on the intended layout. If you need detailed build-ready drawings, setting-out, or materials lists, that would be a larger technical design package rather than the standard layout planning service.
-
How long does layout planning take?
Most single-room layout plans can be completed within one to two weeks once I have your measurements, photos, and brief.
